This is a remote position.
The Cyber Security Analyst supports the security team by proactively identifying and mitigating risks to UW Medicine’s information assets. It involves conducting risk assessments and vulnerability scans to detect potential threats. The role requires collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to implement effective security controls. The analyst plays a key role in incident response and contributes to continuous security improvement initiatives. Candidates with EPIC certification are highly desired and preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans across UW Medicine systems.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on potential security threats.
• Assist in incident response and digital forensic investigations.
Requirements
• 3+ years of experience in information security, including risk assessment and threat mitigation.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST frameworks, and common security technologies.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
